Keyboard exension cable.
Mouse extension cable.
Monitor extension cable.
The original CEO model shipped as 2 separate cabinets which were bolted together
on site, then crown and doors were placed and unit leveled, using leveler screws
on the Lift & Roll mechanisms. That model required professional installers
on initial set-up.
THIS unit, the NEW Executive model is designed for streamlined delivery and does not require a separate team of professional installers.
The Executive model is intuitive and extremely user friendly.
The NEW Executive model ships fully
assembled but may be partially disassembled by the delivery
personnel, if required to facilitate delivery maneuverability. Crown will lift
off, and the 6 bolts which join the two cabinets may be released. The unit,
on its pallet, weighs about 850 lbs.
CONTACT SUMMERLAND FIRST IF DISASSEMBLY APPEARS NECESSARY
The OFFICE furniture delivery personnel are not permitted to install your personal computer equipment.
Before movers depart, ask them to first level your unit, using the adjustable
levelers on the Lift & Roll mechanisms.
Then ask them to elevate your unit and leave it up on its Lift & Roll wheels, with one corner of the cabinet pulled far enough away from the wall, so that you can comfortably get at the wiring compartment in the false back to plug in your equipment.
The Keyjack that comes with your OFFICE
is the one shown at above right.

USE THE LIFT & ROLL MECHANISM TO ELEVATE THE UNIT
There are three Lift & Roll mechanisms installed on the CEO
model. Most Executive models require only two. USE ALL Lift & Rolls installed on your unit. Although you may do this in any order, for ease of use, you might want to start from the outside Lift & Roll mechanisms and work in. |
Note diagram below:
Insert the keyjack, place the Lift & Roll (jacking caster) bar in the
"down" position to elevate the unit.
Insert the keyjack in the "straight-up" position. Push DOWN until casters LOCK in place. SEE DIAGRAMS |
To RAISE the unit, putting it up on its wheels, insert the keyjack into the Lift & Roll opening. The keyjack opening may be concealed from view, behind a removable black or wood cover.
Regardless of WHICH Lift & Roll you are about to elevate, Left, or Right, or Middle, ALWAYS press downward with the handle going towards the CENTER of the unit.
Press down until you feel it the jacking caster mechanism LOCK IN PLACE. If it seems to require more than 8 pounds of pressure, you may be trying to press downward in the wrong direction.
Once the unit has been permanently positioned, you will want to retract the casters so that The OFFICE is lowered into place and the wheels are invisible.
When lowering the unit into place, insert the handle of the keyjack so that it is facing the center of the unit. You are going to return it to the straight up, or 12 o'clock position.
Exercise caution once casters are unlocked to
lower the unit, since the keyjack bar (provided)
will move rapidly in the direction that it is being pulled.
Next, using a flat-head screwdriver, Remove 1/4" thick cleating material from bottom edge of Cabinet A & B. Then, |
Wiring compartment equipment plugs are designed for intuitive computer installation. Grommets providing cord and cable access have been positioned accordingly.
NEXT:
Replace back panels.
Place cabinet in desirable location
Once The OFFICE is positioned, LOWER Lift & Roll mechanisms.
NOTE: Move just about any piece of furniture in your home
or office, and you'll note an indentation in the carpet beneath it, indicating
where the legs of that furniture had been located. You may wish to place cups
or casters beneath the furniture levelers on The OFFICE. We recommend wide base
hard, plastic cups or other styles of flat protectors, since some types
of rubber protectors can permanently stain the customer's floor. Another option
is to use carpet scraps.
If you wish to place floor protectors beneath Lift & Roll levelers, position them under the levelers but do not adjust levelers until after the installation is complete.
Note diagram below:Start with any Lift & Roll mechanism. Insert keyjack handle parallel to ground, with arm of Keyjack facing TOWARDS THE CENTER KNEESPACE of The OFFICE.
Turn Lift & Roll mechanism (jacking caster) keyjack arm to "up" position to LOWER the unit.
Exercise caution once casters are unlocked
to lower the unit, the keyjack bar will move rapidly upward
in the direction that it is being pulled.
To close the chair inside
The OFFICE First, touch the MIGA switch (Make It Go Away) to elevate the monitor slightly. On the CEO & Professional models that switch is located over-desk. See photo near-right. On the Executive model there is a rocker switch located on the front of the desk-top. See photo far-right. |

Next, push your keyboard tray forward, sliding it back under the desktop, and then flip The OFFICE patented interlocking desktop section up and back to create the chair space. |
The Omnific ergonomic chair has articulating arms. This means
that they function very much like a double-jointed elbow. |
When seated in the chair, simply grasp the arm rests close
to the seat back and lift straight UP.
You will note that the back of the chair does what could be compared to a shrug of the shoulders when this happens. This allows the articulating arms to straighten, and then change directions. The first time you try this, you might want to stand behind the chair, lean over, grasp the armrest and lift up, simply to familiarize yourself with the double-jointed type armrest motion. |
Remember to place BOTH arms in the DOWN position when you get ready to close the chair up inside. |
