INSPECT CRATE FOR DAMAGE
Examine crate for shipping damage PRIOR to accepting delivery.

If there is evidence of mishandling or shipping damage by carrier, please immediately contact Summerland at 561-219-0455. Make detailed note of any shipping damage you observe to crate on the bill of lading/shipping document.

The Executive Unit is enclosed fully assembled.

If it is possible to move the unit into the area where it is to be set up within the crate (dimensions 82L x 30w x 78 h), the crate's removal requires a phillips head screw driver; the Executive unit may be rolled out of the crate and positioned on its internal caster system (lift & roll units).

1) Remove screws holding top. The screws extendthrough the sides of the top into the corner supports)
2) When the screws are removed, two people lift the top off. Lift top straight up and set aside for disposal.
3) Remove screws holding plywood corner supports. NOTE THAT WHEN THE SIDE SUPPORTS ARE REMOVED THAT HOLD THE RAMP-FRONT, THE RAMP WILL SWING DOWN. TAKE CARE TO EASE THE RAMP DOWN.Remove the corners and set aside for disposal. Removal of the corner supports will permit removal of the crate lower back and sides. Set them aside for disposal.

4) Remove the blue protective 3/4" sheets. These are very light in weight and dust free. Set aside for disposal. The unit is wrapped with bubble wrap secured by shrink wrapping. Removal of the bubble wrapping may be done now or delayed until the unit is in position if space permits. Keeping the wrap in place will provide additional protection during moving.
5) Lower the ramp to the floor. The Executive unit is secured to the 3/4" plywood "floor" of the crate with four (4) steel straps fastened with screws. Remove the four screws and carefully remove the straps. They may have sharp edges so handle with care!
6) The tool for raising/lowering the Lift and Roll units is fastened on the crate floor. The Lift & Roll units have exposed ends. Insert the tool to engage the nut at the end of the lift and roll units and turn the handle counterclockwise 1/4 turn to raise the unit onto its wheels. When the casters
lock" into position, a "click" will be felt. Remove the tool and set aside -- DO NOT DISCARD!

AT THIS POINT THE EXECUTIVE UNIT IS SITTING ON THE CRATE "FLOOR", ON ITS CASTERS AND IS READY TO BE ROLLED OUT.
It is heavy - - 750 lbs. SO, move it with care. Roll the unit onto the ramp portion while holding against the unit so it does not roll abruptly. Ease it down onto the level floor. Move it into position allowing a space of at least 30" between the back and the wall against which it is to be placed. This space is to permit hook up and connection within the false back. Once that has been done, the unit may be positioned as close to the wall as desired.

The crate floor and all other packing materials may be removed.

FOR DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY

1) Remove the crown molding Unscrew the screws holding the crown molding. Carefully lift the crown molding straight up and set aside in a safe position to prevent damage.

2) Using the lift and roll tools, lower the casters so the unit is sitting on the floor. To lower, insert the tool into the lift and roll units. Turn clockwise 1/4 turn HOLDING RESISTANCE AGAINST THE TOOL TO GENTLY LOWER THE UNIT. Remove the tool and put it where it can easily be found.

3) Open both doors and remove both section outer backs. The outer backs are held in place by screws. Remove the screws and retain them. Carefuly set the backs aside.

4) Starting with the left hand compartment, remove the six bolts joining the two sections. The bolts are screwed into "Tee" nuts. These bolts will be reinstalled to rejoin the unit sections so retain them. Separate the two sections. NOTE that the left hand door extends PAST the edge of the cabinet so handle with care!

5) Move the separate individual sections, the crown molding and removed outer backs into final position (remember to position the unit out from the wall to provide working room behind it)

6) Rejoin the two sections taking care to line up the front edges and the top. Tighten the bolts hand-tight.

7) Install the crown molding

8) Raise the unit (via lift & roll units) onto its casters

9) Install computer equipment. 1) Install monitor: Lower monitor lift. Remove monitor cover (pull stright outwards). Remove monitor tilt/swivel base. Place monitor on platform. Lead cables up to top of monitor compartment and through to false back. Add monitor extension cable. Secure cables to spring mounted to top of monitor compartment with nylon tie wrap -- this is to permit cables to travel during monitor raising/lowering. In false back, install nylon cable clamp to hold monitor data cable and monitor power cable. Lead monitor extension cable through hole in left side of false back to CPU pass through port  and lead through into CPU compartment.

NOTE: If UPS is used without Power Manager, plug monitor into UPS. If both UPS and Power Manager are used, plug Power Manager into UPS; Monitor into Power Manager.

Reinstall monitor shroud.

2) Install Balance of computer and peripheral equipment.

3) Lead Executive power cable and telephone /cable through port in outer back to connect to wall outlets. Before securing outer back, test operation of all units/phones etc..

4) Install outer backs on both compartments.

5) Move Executive to final position and lower lift & Roll units and adjust levelers until doors close evenly.
