From the Treasure Coast of Florida, this is one of several items of fine jewelry which have recently been placed with us on consignment. They are part of a large, living estate, from Palm Beach, Florida. A number of the pieces of jewelry have already been sold locally, (prior to our photographer even having had the time to formally photograph the items to accompany our online listings).

In addition to the items of jewelry, we also have in our possession copies of a multi-page appraisal covering each of those items, and have included relevant excerpts from the appraisals as part of the description which appears below. The appraisals were prepared by a G. I.A. accredited Appraiser/Gemologist, whose offices are located in Palm Beach, Florida. The dates appearing on the appraisals are January 17 and January 18, 2005.

These are extremely handsome 14k yellow gold and diamond earrings which were manufactured in the 1980's. Only a very few earrings in this style can still be found and they remain in high demand.

Although gemstone diameters would have to be precise in order to fit the pre-made settings, diamond depths, (thus diamond weight) could conceivably vary from earring pair to pair. Approximate diamond weight for this design could range anywhere between 2.30 cts to 3.0 carats, (and may further vary depending upon the expertise of the individual doing the calculating). The original appraiser (in January of 2005) estimated that (each) earring contained approximately .50 cts in Princess cut diamonds and .66 cts of baguette cut diamonds, with an overall clarity of SI1 and color of G-H. This would give an approximate total diamond weight of 2.32 carats. The earrings were appraised in 2005 for $2500. (Gold was below $550/oz in 2005, today it's well over $1600/oz)

After carefully re-examining the earrings, we would place the total diamond weight higher, likely closer to 2.5 carats. Average clarity range of SI1 may also include VS2 diamonds. The weight of the earrings is 11.196 grams and the earrings measure 22mm. Item # c-jl-26 .Offered at $2175.
