ABOUT THE DESIGNER: Hidalgo, one of the world's most popular jewelry designers, is descended from generations of creative artists and scholars. For his prolific collections, Silvio Hidalgo, the Cuban born world traveler who came to the U.S. as a child, has drawn inspiration from the cultures of a multitude of countries in which he has lived and throughout which he has traveled.

Hidalgo's designs evoke passion and romance and celebrate street chic styles from over 120 countries.

The Hidalgo Jewelry Collection was originally launched back in 1970 by Silvio's father and uncle. Silvio's time spent in Monte Carlo during the early 1980's helped fuel a desire to create his own line of timeless jewelry, and by 1990 Silvio Hidalgo had added to his collections a variety of exquisite Italian enamel designs, which quickly became his signature material.

Silvio Hidalgo resides in and designs from his home in the Virgin Islands, while Hidalgo's corporate headquarters is located in Miami, Florida, where his fabulous jewelry collections are manufactured.

Hidalgo has been known to create custom designs to compliment other pieces from his collections and recently wrote that he has been "making very unique new [ring] mountings for [diamonds] ...or any stones".

Each of the three rings featured above is 18k yellow gold, and each of the three rings contains approximately .32 carats of fine, VVS clarity, G-H color diamonds.

The three rings, all from the same very high end estate, nestle together perfectly. The matched pair of ring guards are classic Hidalgo with prong set diamonds on the top half of the band and miniature rope design on the bottom half. Each guard regularly sells for $1320.

The center ring features a natural, emerald cut Aquamarine which measures approximately 6 x 8mm and weighs approx. 1.5 carats. The matched pair of ring guards are guaranteed authentic Hidalgo. The center ring which we strongly suspect to be one of the custom made Hidalgo mountings, is unmarked. The size for each of the three rings is 5 1/2 and they are resizable.

As might be expected from this designer, the combination of the three rings is both unique and breathtakingly exquisite.
