WASHINGTON -- Mitt Romney again distanced himself from his infamous 47 percent comments caught on video at a private fundraiser in May, telling CNN in an interview Tuesday night that, "the words that came out were not what I meant."

Romney was secretly filmed during a private fund raiser for which donors paid $50,000. each.

He told those present; "There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what," Romney is shown saying in a video posted online by the magazine. "There are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe that government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it." This is the second time in as many weeks that the Republican nominee abandoned his position that the sentiment he expressed when he called 47 percent of the country government-dependent, self-identified victims was correct but poorly worded.

Last week, he told Fox News' Sean Hannity that the comment was "completely wrong" as opposed to ineloquently stated.

Romney's heartless and truly outrageous comments caused a firestorm of resentment amongst working Americans and he has been moonwalking backwards at the speed of light, trying out every excuse he can think of. It was "inelegantly stated", he didn't really mean it, he LOVES the 47%, scratch that, he LOVES the 100%, and..... we're waiting for him to pull out the old standby......the dog ate his homework.
