Republicans for Obama is a grassroots organization of proud party members who all share one important trait— we are Americans first and Republicans second. Founded in late 2006 as part of the nationwide effort to encourage then-Senator Obama to run for the Presidency, our volunteer-run, grassroots group now includes thousands of members from across the nation. Together, we represent a cross-section of the millions of Republican and conservative independents who support President Obama's reelection in 2012. Although we have campaigned, worked for, and voted Republican all our lives, we recognize that President Obama is the right leader for our country at this time. Our current Republican leadership is unable to stand up to the most extreme elements in our party, no matter the circumstance. Meanwhile, President Obama has challenged his own party on numerous issues, including taxes, healthcare and foreign policy. President Obama has forged a pragmatic, common-sense path forward during a challenging time. President Obama has rejected the politics of division and the win-at-all-costs attitude that has hurt our ability to move forward as a nation. While we as Republicans will not always see eye to eye with President Obama, we know that his politics of unity is the only way forward for America. -Republicans for Obama on Facebook

THE Common Sense Coalition: You read it. You hear it. You feel it. Every year, the political parties turn more polarized, extreme and uncompromising. Trouble is, most of us aren’t that extreme. We’re largely moderate: fiscally responsible and socially tolerant. We want to see progress on addressing America’s challenges, not gridlock. And we’re powerful if we stand together—we’re the swing vote. Representing more than 40% of the American electorate, we can change America if we stand together, vote together, and speak with one voice. Stand with us to restore common sense and make America great again. THE Common Sense Coalition on Facebook

No Labels. Stop Fighting. Start Fixing. No Labels is a group of Republicans, Democrats and Independents dedicated to a simple proposition: We want our government to work again. The government in Washington is no longer capable of solving the very real problems facing America. Before every election, our politicians make promises about how they will fix our tax system. Our immigration laws. Our schools. Our budget issues. But after every election, these promises are crushed under the weight of the same poisonous rhetoric and hyper-partisanship. We, the American people, are the collateral damage of this partisan warfare, saddled with debts we can’t afford and an economy that no longer creates enough good jobs with good pay. The American people have had enough. No Labels believes that common sense solutions exist for our national challenges. And we believe that our government should be capable of finding them. Most importantly, we know the vast majority of Americans agree with us. No Labels on Facebook.

The Secular Coalition for America holds that freedom of conscience, including religious freedom, is a fundamental American value as evidenced by the fact that this is the first freedom protected in the Bill of Rights. Freedom of conscience is best guaranteed by protecting and strengthening the secular character of our government. Religious tolerance, a necessary product of this freedom, must be extended to people of all religions and to those without religious beliefs. The Secular Coalition for America is committed to promoting reason and science as the most reliable methods for understanding the universe and improving the human condition. Issues supported by The Secular Coalition for America include; Eliminate Religiously-Based Laws Interfering with Contraception Access, Eliminate Religious Control of Sex Education in Public Schools, End Marriage Discrimination and Oppose Theological Definitions of Marriage, End Employment Discrimination by Religious Groups via 'Faith-Based' Initiatives, among others. For 20 years, the Center for Reproductive Rights has used the law to advance reproductive freedom as a fundamental human right that all governments are legally obligated to protect, respect, and fulfill. Our Vision Reproductive freedom lies at the heart of the promise of human dignity, self-determination and equality embodied in both the U.S. Constitution and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The Center works toward the time when that promise is enshrined in law in the United States and throughout the world. We envision a world where every woman is free to decide whether and when to have children; where every woman has access to the best reproductive healthcare available; where every woman can exercise her choices without coercion or discrimination. More simply put, we envision a world where every woman participates with full dignity as an equal member of society. Center for Reproductive Rights on Facebook.

United Republic: We envision a nation: Where the will and concerns of the people aren’t drowned out by the financial influence of the few. Where politicians devote more time to their constituents than to their fundraising. Where political decisions are made on principle, without the distorting effect of lobbyists. Nuns On The Bus: About the Tour As Catholic Sisters, we are missioned to stand with people in need and to be witnesses for economic justice. Jesus said, "You will be my witnesses not only in Jerusalem but throughout Judea and Samaria, and indeed to earth's remotest end." (Acts 1:8) As Catholic Sisters, we must speak out against the current House Republican budget, authored by Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI). We do so because it harms people who are already suffering. NETWORK’s Executive Director, Sister Simone Campbell, said in a recent media interview that Catholic Sisters “know the real-life struggles of real-life Americans.” It is this knowledge that impelled us to organize this bus trip. When the federal government cuts funding to programs that serve people in poverty, we see the effects in our daily work. Simply put, real people suffer. That is immoral.

Being Liberal - Because Reality Has A Liberal Bias. Over the past few decades, billions of dollars have been poured into the denigration and reframing of the word "Liberal", as a derogatory epithet. The Being Liberal FB page, is fighting to restore the true meaning of the word Liberal and return it to its rightful place of honor in mainstream linguistics. It is important to remember that it was Liberals who fought to get women the right to vote. Liberals who fought to get African-Americans the right to vote. Liberals created Social Security and lifted millions of elderly people out of poverty. Liberals ended segregation. Liberals passed the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act. Liberals created Social Security and Medicare. Liberals passed the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act. What did Conservatives do? They opposed every one of those laudatory achievements...every single one! Do not hurl the word 'Liberal,' at our feet, as if it were something to be ashamed of, as if it were something dirty, something to run away from. It won't work. Because we will pick that label up and we will wear it proudly, as the badge of honor that it is. Being Liberal on Facebook.

Advocates For Youth - Established in 1980 as the Center for Population Options, Advocates for Youth champions efforts to help young people make informed and responsible decisions about their reproductive and sexual health. Advocates believes it can best serve the field by boldly advocating for a more positive and realistic approach to adolescent sexual health. RIGHTS: Youth have the right to accurate and complete sexual health information, confidential reproductive and sexual health services, and a secure stake in the future. RESPECT: Youth deserve respect. Valuing young people means involving them in the design, implementation and evaluation of programs and policies that affect their health and well-being. RESPONSIBILITY: Society has the responsibility to provide young people with the tools they need to safeguard their sexual health, and young people have the responsibility to protect themselves from too-early childbearing and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV. Advocates for Youth is the only organization that works both in the United States and in developing countries with a sole focus on adolescent reproductive and sexual health.

Breakthrough - Breakthrough is a unique global human rights organization. We believe that human rights begin in our own hearts, homes, and actions. We work to make human rights real and relevant to everyone, no matter where or how they live. We create innovative, relevant multimedia and pop culture that bring human rights issues and values into the mainstream. We inspire people to take bold action for social change — among their own peers and in their own spheres. We envision a world where all individuals and communities live with dignity, equality and justice. Human rights are universal and fundamental. More than a matter of oppression in far-off lands, they are intrinsic to the way we treat each other in our communities, in our families, and in our homes. For this reason, we use pop culture, multimedia, community engagement and leadership training to reach people where they are and ignite change in the world around them. Working out of centers in India and the United States, Breakthrough addresses critical global issues including violence against women, sexuality and HIV/AIDS, and immigrant rights and racial justice. Center for Inquiry - Our mission is to foster a secular society based on science, reason, freedom of inquiry, and humanist values. To oppose and supplant the mythological narratives of the past, and the dogmas of the present, the world needs an institution devoted to promoting science, reason, freedom of inquiry, and humanist values. The Center for Inquiry is that institution. At the Center for Inquiry, we believe that evidence-based reasoning, in which humans work together to address common concerns, is critical for modern world civilization. Moreover, unlike many other institutions, we maintain that scientific methods and reasoning should be utilized in examining the claims of both pseudoscience and religion. We reject mysticism and blind faith. No topic should be placed off limits to scrutiny—certainly not fringe science and religion, which have an enormous influence on beliefs and conduct. We also maintain that values are properly the subject of study and discussion as much as empirical claims. The Center for Inquiry studies and promotes human values based on a naturalistic outlook. Ideological doctrine and religious dogma have no more right to dictate our moral norms than they do to influence scientific research. Center for Inquiry on Facebook

The National Economic and Social Rights Initiative (NESRI) was founded in 2004 in response to growing interest from activists in bringing human rights home, and holding the United States accountable to meeting the full range of basic human rights standards for all its people. NESRI has sought, from its inception, to create a foundation for integrating economic and social rights into U.S. law, policy and political culture. In partnership with communities, NESRI works to build a broad movement for economic & social rights, including health, housing, education and work with dignity. Based on the principle that fundamental human needs create human rights obligations on the part of government and the private sector, NESRI advocates for public policies that guarantee the universal and equitable fulfillment of these rights in the United States.NESRI believes that social movements led by those directly impacted are the best route towards sustainable and progressive social change. Developing strong social movements depends on a compelling and unifying vision that is shared by the whole movement. The human rights framework can provide this vision because it offers a broad platform for common action, language, and focus, and speaks to a set of universal values.
