CUFFLINKS: ESTATE: HANDSOME ART DECO CUFFLINKS
Heavy, solid 14k rose / yellow gold cufflinks with shimmering bezel-set Mexican Alexandrite*. *Introduced in the 1930's as an alternative to the prohibitively priced natural Alexandrite (depending upon ambient lighting, finer quality natural Alexandrite gemstones change color from Strawberry red to Grass Green, and vibrant Teal to a luminous Rose). This stone, popularly known as "Mexican Alexandrite" picks up changes in color but is predominantly an incredibly vibrant Purple, (with greater depth and fire than an Amethyst) with flashes of shimmering blue/green. *. CUFFLINKS: Estate. Vintage 1920 / 1930.. Although
we found that these are not solid gold (we literally had to test
them to make sure) we simply could not resist accepting these absolutely
marvelous cufflinks they are in pristine condition. The hand painted,
exquisitely detailed workmanship is phenomenal and they are such
a conversation piece. On the photo enlargement we're also displaying these
next to a solid 14k yellow gold and diamond Baume Mercier watch (sold
separately) to give you a sense of color and scale (we told you
we had to test them to tell the difference). These cufflinks are simply
stunning. SOLD
